Key takeaways
- Webtonative's strength is breadth: a large add-on catalog, desktop and Android TV builds and paid publishing to six stores, including Huawei, Samsung, Amazon and Xiaomi.
- Its pricing mixes a one-time Starter option, rebuild allowances, monthly or annual tiers and paid add-ons, and its terms exclude refunds (as of October 2026).
- Webtonative offers no source code. WebViewGold – built by our team – gives you Xcode and Android Studio projects for a one-time license instead.
- Switching doesn't mean starting over: reuse the bundle ID and package name in accounts you control and ship the new build as an update to the same listing.
Our recommended solution
Looking for a Webtonative alternative? Meet WebViewGold
WebViewGold turns your website or web app into native iOS and Android projects for a one-time price – with push notifications, a native offline screen, deep links, a QR scanner, in-app purchases and more. You own the projects and publish in your own developer accounts. Built by our own team.
Webtonative alternative: the short answer
The right Webtonative alternative depends on what you want to own. If a no-code dashboard and many store targets matter most, Webtonative is hard to replace. If you want the native projects themselves, a one-time price and rebuilds whenever you like, WebViewGold is the closest match, with Median.co and Capacitor as further options.
Webtonative (styled WebToNative by the vendor) is run by Orufy Technologies Private Limited in India. Besides Android and iOS apps, it builds Windows, macOS and Linux desktop apps and apps from an HTML zip file. Android TV support followed in August 2026, Google and Apple Wallet in September 2026, and plugins exist for Bubble and WordPress. It suits small and mid-sized businesses that want many plug-in features and several stores without writing code – a genuine strength.
Why do teams look for an alternative to Webtonative?
The reasons we hear are rarely about missing features. They are about cost structure, control and what happens in year two. As of October 2026, Webtonative's pricing page and terms show:
- A layered pricing model. A 14-day trial, no free plan, a one-time "Starter (Pay As You Go)" option with free rebuilds for an initial period and paid rebuilds afterwards, monthly and annual Starter, Pro and Premium tiers with different rebuild allowances, an annual-only Business plan and custom Enterprise. Many add-ons cost extra.
- Rebuilds are routine. Every native change needs a new build, and so do store rules: since August 31, 2026, new Google Play apps and updates must target Android 16 (API level 36). On a pay-per-rebuild plan, budget for it – our target API level guide explains the rule.
- No publishing from the trial, no refunds. The trial app can't be published – the AAB is generated only after purchase – and the terms state that Webtonative does not provide refunds.
- No source code. You receive build files, not an Xcode or Android Studio project, so custom native code or your own CI/CD pipeline isn't an option.
The FAQ advertises a one-time payment and "complete app ownership". The listing in your account and the files you download are indeed yours. What you don't get is the project behind them – the gap the alternatives below fill.

Store review risks for builder-made apps – whichever tool you pick
Webtonative's FAQ says its apps adhere to the stores' policies and that it supplies review guidelines for App Store submission. Useful – but no tool can promise an approval, because Apple and Google review your app, not the tool behind it. These rules matter most:
- Guideline 4.2. Apple expects features and UI that "elevate it beyond a repackaged website". A catalog of add-ons only helps when they serve your core journey – see 4.2 rejections of WebView apps.
- Guideline 4.2.6. Template-built apps must be submitted by the provider of the content. Webtonative's App Store service publishes in your own account, which fits. Never let a service upload your app from its account (4.2.6 for WebView apps).
- Guideline 4.3. Builder defaults – splash animations, bottom bars, onboarding screens – can make apps look alike, and one app per location reads as duplication. The 4.3 spam guide shows how to stand apart.
- Guideline 5.6. A website-based app changes when your site does. Content is fine; new features belong in a new build with review notes (5.6 for WebView apps).
- Google Play spam policy. Apps that mainly show a website without its owner's permission aren't allowed. Publish from the account that owns the site – the WebView spam guide explains the proof.
Multi-store reach adds work, too: Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon Appstore and Xiaomi GetApps each have their own listings, reviews and update cycles – worth it for some audiences, overhead for others.
When Webtonative is the better choice
Switching costs time, so be honest about your situation. Webtonative is likely the better fit when:
- You need targets beyond phones. Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux and Android TV come from the same dashboard.
- You want other Android stores handled. Paid publishing to the Huawei, Samsung, Amazon and Xiaomi stores saves you from learning four more consoles.
- Nobody should open a project file. Everything happens in a dashboard, including niche features such as kiosk mode, screenshot blocking and passkeys.
- Your app rarely changes. The one-time Starter option can work well for an app that needs few rebuilds.
Many customers are clearly satisfied: Webtonative had 4.8 out of 5 stars from 132 Trustpilot reviews when we checked on October 7, 2026. If none of the issues above bother you, there's no reason to move.
Our recommended alternative
WebViewGold: native iOS and Android apps from your website
Instead of building native features from scratch, start from WebViewGold. You get ready-made Xcode and Android Studio projects for your website, with native modules you switch on in the configuration:
- Push notificationsOneSignal or Firebase, for real, personal events
- Native offline screenNo browser error pages when the connection drops
- Native splash screenApp-like start instead of a loading web page
- Deep linksLinks open the right screen inside the app
- QR & barcode scannerDevice features the website alone can't offer
- In-app purchasesNative purchase flows where the store requires them
No tool guarantees an approval: Apple still judges what your app offers. Use the native features in your main user journey – our App Specialists review your WebViewGold app before it goes to the App Store.
When WebViewGold is the better Webtonative alternative
WebViewGold is the website-to-app solution built by our own team at jocapps, so read this section with that in mind. It starts from code you own: a ready-made Xcode project in Swift and an Android Studio project. You enter your URL (or a local HTML folder) in the configuration – Config.swift on iOS – and switch on native modules. It is the better fit when:
- You want to own the project. It lives in your repository, any developer can extend it with custom native code, and you decide when to build.
- You rebuild often. On your own Xcode and Android Studio setup, a rebuild costs nothing but time. Without a Mac, the separately sold Cloud Builder configures, builds and uploads in the browser.
- You prefer paying once. A Regular or Extended license (Extended for in-app purchases) with free updates; each customized app needs its own license.
- You need the common native features. Push via OneSignal, Firebase or Pushwoosh, an offline fallback screen, universal links, Face ID, QR and document scanning, NFC, StoreKit purchases, AdMob and the native rating dialog, plus widgets, App Clips and Siri on iOS. On Android: Google Play Billing, biometrics, Health Connect and App Links.
- Your web app comes from a builder. If it runs in Safari or Chrome – Bubble, Webflow, Wix, Lovable or hand-written code – WebViewGold can convert it, which matters if you use Webtonative's Bubble or WordPress plugin today.
The honest limits: if Windows, Linux or Android TV builds are part of your plan, Webtonative covers them from one dashboard. And you won't get a hundred toggles here – you configure a project or let the Cloud Builder or our done-for-you setup handle it.
How to switch from Webtonative to WebViewGold without losing your listing
The goal is an update, not a new app: same listing, same ratings, same users. That works whenever you control the developer accounts – the normal case, since Webtonative's publishing services work in your own accounts.
- Check who holds what. Sign in to App Store Connect and Play Console as Account Holder or owner and review the user lists. Remove a publishing service's access once the switch is complete.
- Note the identifiers. Bundle ID, package name, live version numbers and Android
versionCode. The new builds reuse the identifiers with higher version numbers. - Map your add-ons. Match each Webtonative add-on you use to a WebViewGold module and drop the ones nobody uses.
- Configure the projects. Enter your URL in
Config.swiftand the Android configuration, set the existing bundle ID and package name and connect the push provider account you already use, such as OneSignal or Firebase. - Sort out signing. On iOS, the listing is tied to the bundle ID, not to one certificate, so a distribution certificate from your own team signs the update. On Android, apps uploaded as App Bundles use Play App Signing: Google holds the app signing key, you sign uploads with an upload key. If your previous tool generated that key and you don't have it, the account owner or an admin can request an upload key reset in Play Console.
- Test on real devices via TestFlight and a Google Play internal testing track.
- Ship it as an update with a new version in App Store Connect and a new release in Play Console, with review notes that describe the native features.
- End the old plan last, once both updates are live.
Google's Play App Signing help describes the reset and states that a lost upload key doesn't lock you out of your app.
How appsubmitter.io helps – whether you switch or stay
appsubmitter.io is our AI-powered and human-powered CI/CD and submission service for the App Store and Google Play. For a switch, we set up fastlane-based CI/CD, certificates, provisioning profiles and the Play upload key in your own accounts, build release AABs, prepare the listing, App Privacy details and Data safety form, and handle submission and communication with the review teams. An AI-powered pre-submission check flags guideline risks, and an App Specialist reviews the results.
Staying with Webtonative? We can take over listings, privacy forms and rejection handling for an app built there, always in your own accounts. Code changes aren't included – we quote them upfront – and nobody can promise an approval, because Apple and Google decide. We cover the App Store and Google Play, not other Android stores. Book both platforms or start with a free consultation call.
